Mark 1: A day in the life of Jesus
We're starting today with a new series looking at stories from the Gospel of Mark. There are four gospels in the Bible, and they all talk and deal with the ministry of Jesus. In a way Mark’s is the simplest one and the others are a ‘rewrite’. They include a lot of Mark's gospel in them, Matthew and Luke, but they all have their own special emphasis.
We're calling this series On Your Marks: A Race Through Mark's Gospel because we can't deal with everything in Mark's gospel. But it's an action-packed, explosive account. You know, much like the athlete on the blocks where you go on your marks, get set, go. And that's what Mark's gospel starts like. It's like a real explosive race through the ministry of Jesus. As we look at some of the stories over the next few weeks, may the Lord and his message, his power and his truth be revealed to us.
