Come As You Are
Expect Good Things From God
-
We are a diverse community and growing local church who are discovering the hope and joy of Jesus together.
In the chaos of life, we believe in a God who never lets us down.
CLC is a place where we can laugh, love one another, and learn from our mistakes.
Come join us, and expect good things from God!
Welcome from our pastors
We’re Jon and Jo Froggett (AKA The Frogs) and we have been leading Rugby CLC since 2011.
Growing up in Coventry, we both became followers of Jesus as teenagers, met each other in our church youth group and the rest (as they say) is history! We’ve had fun serving God together as a team ever since and love to see others finding the joy, peace and purpose that we discovered all those years ago.
We asked our congregation how they would describe our church. Some of the words used were compassionate, fun, authentic, and non judgemental.
If that sounds like somewhere you would like to grow in your faith, we would love to see you!
Sunday Mornings
We love Sunday mornings! It’s an opportunity for us to fill our faith tank and be equipped and inspired to face whatever the week ahead brings.
Our service starts at 11am, and refreshments are served from 10:30am.
What to Expect?
-
We begin at 11am with a welcome and a time of lively worship led by our talented musicians. The words to the songs are projected onto a screen.
We have a gift bag for all newcomers where, amongst some goodies that we think you will appreciate, you will find information about our activities and an invite to our next Newcomers’ Meal.
On the first Sunday of each month, as part of our service, we will share Communion together.
We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12v7-11). Sometimes, members of the congregation will come to the front and share something that they feel God has inspired them to say for the encouragement of others.
There will often be an opportunity during the service to receive prayer from our Prayer Team when an invite is given to take a seat on the front row. Our team will always be on hand to pray after the service if you prefer.. Many of our congregation have stories of how God has performed miracles through prayer.
Our preacher for the day will bring a relevant and challenging message from the Bible.
After our closing song, refreshments will be available in the lounge area.
-
Feel free to arrive any time from 10.30am and enjoy a range of drinks served in the lounge area.
Our Sunday Service kicks off at 11am.
-
There is a creche area in a room directly off the main hall where parents can supervise their toddlers.
During the preach, Primary School Age children have their own time together in Kids Alive led by our experienced team of children's workers.
-
We have an informal atmosphere, so whatever you're comfortable in is fine with us!
-
There is a car park at the rear of the church building accessed via a service road off Pinfold Street. If you can’t find a space here, on street parking is available on the streets around the church.
